Vasectopia is a short film made as part of GIVE ME AN A, an anthology feature created in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The whole piece is a musical commercial for Vasectopia, a fake but lustrous world where men relish in getting a vasectomy!

I directed this short - crafting a unique overall vision for the design of the piece. From the period choices in costume and color theory to the graphics (I designed “Snippy,” the cute pair of scissors), I wanted the visuals to connect the retro feeling of 1960s musicals (and the last era before Roe) with the archaic reality of women’s lack of reproductive freedom now.
